We have been reading lots of novels this year to improve our vocabulary and comprehension skills. We love reading and we wanted to help the younger boys with their books for World Book Day. We spent an hour with Junior Infants and read them lots of stories. They love storytime! We asked them questions about the books and the pictures. For the rest of the day we made bookmarks and began reading our class novel ‘Under the Hawthorn Tree’. We designed an alternative cover for the book and we can’t wait to learn more about the main characters Eily, Peggy and Michael. Our class motto is ‘READ to SUCCEED’. We hope the Junior Infants enjoyed World Book Day!
