Fís Film Project

The Fís Film Project is a nationwide initiative which invites children in primary schools to try their hand at film making. You can read more about it at www.fisfilmproject.ie.

Our school has been a part of this project since 2007. Each year, our sixth classes write, produce and direct a five-minute movie. The movie is then entered into the Fís Film Festival in the Helix.

We have won many awards for our films beginning with our movie “Framed” in 2008, that won a Best Gangster Film award.

Fast forward years of filming and we are still achieving amazing results in the Fís Project. In 2021 our 6th class won Best Comedy for their “Lockdown” film.

Here are some of the films we have created over the past number of years:

Past Fís Film Projects

Infection

Our sixth classes took part in this year’s Fís Project. This involved writing, directing, shooting and editing their own movies. Mr. Murphy’s class made “Infection”. Mr. McGeady’s class made “Crime Doesn’t Pay”.
