Birds of a feather, flock together!

We learned all about birds and their habitats. We attracted small garden birds to a hedge near our classroom and fed them everyday over the winter. We chose a bird to study and gathered interesting facts relating to our birds. We have enjoyed bird watching and we identified many birds that visited our bird feeders. So far we attracted robins, dunnocks, blackbirds, blue tits, chaffinch, starlings and jackdaws. Did you know, the type of diet a bird eats in the wild is directly related to the shape of a bird’s beak? Quiz question:What do you call someone who studies birds?… an ornithologist!
