July PTA News

Recent events and meeting minutes.

Well it has been a great final term to the year and many thanks to all who helped out with the PTA. We say goodbye and huge thanks to some parents whose children have now left the school and gone on to secondary. Hopefully, with the new intake, we’ll have some new faces on the PTA in September! The new Junior Infants visit in June proved to be a great opportunity to meet some new and not-so-new parents to the school.

The Funday in April was very well attended and the children had a great time indeed. The bouncy castles, slides and various games went down a storm with the children and the hot dog stall was a great new addition this year.

The teas and coffees for the First Holy Communion class was very well attended with lovely cakes and tea served by our parent volunteers.

The School Musical was a monumental success. Again the boys didn’t fail to impress with their excellent, singing, dancing and acting skills. The boys and teachers really worked hard to put on a great performance. We hope they enjoyed performing as much as we enjoyed watching! The PTA volunteers also worked hard, running the tuck shop, organising the advertising for the programme booklet and collecting raffle prize donations from local businesses.

The 6th Class hoodies were very well received by the boys and constantly worn in their final days at Maynooth BNS. A huge thank you to Jean who organised them and all agreed they looked fantastic.

Again a big thanks to all for the support and hope to see you all in the new term!
